"Paranormalcy" was hilarious, the characters were witty, the plot was great, and the book as a whole was completely awesome.
Evie has worked for IPCA, an agency that keeps the paranormal creature in check, her whole life. She's the only person that can see through the glamours masking the creatures, and the agency needs her. She thinks what they do is wonderful, until Lend, a handsome, witty, caring shape-shifter comes into the picture. She begins to doubt the IPCA and even herself, especially when a creepy fire-lady keeps popping into the picture, telling Evie that she has no soul.
Even if you're getting a bit burnt out on the paranormal genre, hold out for this one book, you will definitely not be sorry.
