Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins, Teen Pick from Clare K.
New Release!
Note: This is a PG-13 book for older teens.
When Anna's father decides she is going to go to the American School in Paris, Anna is crushed. Her best friend still lives in Atlanta! Her could-be-more co-worker still works at the cinema in Atlanta! Her mom and brother live in Atlanta! How does he expect her to give all that up?
Anna ends up at the School Of America in Paris anyway, and you begin your wonderful read! Anna meets Meredith and becomes part of her circle of friends which includes Etienne St. Clair, a gorgeous, smart, funny, charming boy. Anna is slowly falling in love with her new best friend... and could he be falling for her?
Stephanie Perkins also knows how to write with humor - I found myself laughing aloud quite a few times throughout this novel.
The ending is wonderful too, which isn't always the case! It left me heartbroken, not because of what happened in the end, but because it ended. The story makes me really want to go to Paris too!
